Day 1: Welcome to Ghana – the Gateway to Africa. Arrive at Kotoka International Airport (ACC) by 12:00 noon. Guests arriving later are encouraged to arrive a day earlier. In the evening, join fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast, set out on a guided Accra City Tour that brings Ghana’s past and present to life. Visit Independence Square, a powerful symbol of freedom, and explore the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre, honoring the Pan-Africanist who made Ghana his home. Continue to the Ghana National Museum and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, dedicated to Ghana’s first president. End the day at the bustling Makola Market, where colorful stalls and lively energy offer a glimpse into everyday life. Return to the hotel in the afternoon with the evening at leisure.
Day 3: Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Relax at the hotel or explore Accra independently. Optional experiences may include a hands-on Ghanaian cooking class, shopping for handcrafted souvenirs, or visiting local cafés and art spaces.
Day 4: This morning, travel to Kumasi, the historic capital of the Ashanti Kingdom and one of Ghana’s most culturally rich cities. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour including the Manhyia Palace Museum, former residence of the Ashanti king. Stroll through Kumasi Central Market, one of the largest open-air markets in West Africa.
Day 5: Today is dedicated to an immersive Ashanti cultural experience. Visit a Kente weaving village to witness the intricate craftsmanship behind this iconic textile. Participate in an Adinkra symbol stamping workshop, learning the meanings behind these traditional designs. The day culminates in a Traditional Akan Naming Ceremony in an Ashanti village—an intimate and meaningful experience connecting you to ancestral customs.
Day 6: Depart Kumasi for Cape Coast, traveling through Ghana’s scenic countryside. Along the way, stop at Assin Manso Slave River, where enslaved Africans took their final bath before being forced to the coast—a deeply reflective and emotional moment. Upon arrival, visit Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle, UNESCO World Heritage Sites that tell the powerful story of the transatlantic slave trade.
Day 7: After breakfast, journey back to Accra.
Optional Excursion (additional cost): Visit Kakum National Park and walk the iconic canopy walkway, suspended high above the rainforest for breathtaking views and a touch of adventure.
Day 8: Enjoy your final full day in Ghana at leisure—perfect for last-minute shopping, sightseeing, or simply relaxing. In the evening, come together for a memorable Farewell Night at Skybar25, where stunning city views provide the perfect backdrop to celebrate new friendships and unforgettable experiences.
Day 9: After breakfast, transfer to Kotoka International Airport (ACC) for your departure, or continue your journey with an optional trip extension to Togo and Benin.
